The Jeep was, as Constantin said, brand new and in great shape, and it drove terrificly well. And, I might add, after driving on St. Thomas for a week I now know perfectly well why Jeeps are your featured vehicles -- little else will hold up to the rough roads and rugged terrain. Best to you both." "Hi there. We were so pleased with our service and jeep rental we felt compelled to write. This car rental company is A#1. I did an extensive amount of research about whether or not we should rent on St. John or St. Thomas (we were spending a week on St. John). After much research, we decided to rent on St. Thomas and take the car barge over to St. John. This worked out flawlessly, as we bought food at Food mart? and made our barge easily. We were staying on the east end of STJ and made it without any problem.
But, more importantly - Amalie- we were met at the airport, with a sign with my name on it. In 2 or 3 minutes, we were at our car. So easy and most of all - NO STRESS.
We arrived back to STT and called to let Amailie to let them know we were almost there. We were met at the check in line, helped with checking in, and when I could not find my glasses, I turned around and there was the very nice man w/my glasses. Again, NO STRESS!!!
I could not recommend this company more - they were polite, professional, and attentive.

"We rarely write reviews, but after such exceptional service from Amalie Car Rental we felt compelled to do so. Our flights were late getting into St.
Thomas, but Mr. & Mrs. Constantin were there to meet us the moment we arrived with warm greetings and friendly smiles.
The two new vehicles we were given were just as promised. They had the paper work ready to sign and maps of the island in each vehicle.
We had an early flight home at the end of the week and they allowed us to leave the vehicles in the airport parking lot--the others companies
on the island did not offer this. From our experience we highly recommend Amalie Car Rental. We found them to be convenient, reliable, affordable,
friendly, and accommodating. We plan to tell all our friends who visit St. Thomas."

"We have been working with Amalie Car rental since our first vacation rental back in 2005. Since that time, we have learned how valuable it is to have reliable, friendly and dedicated people working with our guests. Their attention to detail and timeliness (a rarity when people are normally on "island time") are not matched by any other car rental company on island. They meet you at the airport, keys in hand, papers ready for just a signature - and you are done. And their fleet of cars are practically right off the assembly line in tip-top shape. And just a quick story about how important vehicle maintenance is - when we first arrived we rented a car from one of the "big names". During the drive home, we found that the brakes on the vehicle were extremely faulty - almost to the point of complete failure. Not a good thing on the narrow and sometimes steep island roads. We brought the car back in, explained our situation and had to pay an additional $100 for another car - same type of vehicle, but one with "good brakes". Don't be fooled, the big boys are not the same as they are stateside! We will always recommend Amalie Car rental for our guests. There is nobody better."

I have been working with you for a very short period of time but in this time period you have gained my trust with our guests.
There have been times when flights have run late that you have been accommodating to our guests and really going above to make sure they are happy when they get off a long flight that may have been delayed or cancelled, my last guest was so happy they hugged you when they got off their plane!
You will call us to remind us about busy season coming up and putting car on hold for our guests that we haven't even touched base with yet in order to make sure they have a car no matter what, even if we have to cancel it in the end.

"Amalie Car Rental was excellent!!!! They were there when we landed and pulled up next to us as we arrived at the airport at our departure. The BEST SERVICE EVER!!!! Fabulous people and a brand new car. I think that was easier than renting in ST John . In fact, we will never rent in St John again. With the new car barges it is actually easier to just be greeted with luggage at the airport. And in fact, right before the ferry dock there is a grocery store. So, I would just load up before getting on the ferry. We will certainly try you all again for our next trip. Could be Spring Break.. Thanks again!"
